For trades and agents
Help your landlords get registered
Every landlord in England has to register each let property on the new PRS database between December 2026 and November 2027. If you're a gas engineer, electrician, energy assessor, letting agent or accountant, your landlords will be asking you about it. Send them here.
Why landlords will ask you
- The form asks for your work. Every property entry needs the gas safety certificate, the electrical certificate (EICR or EIC) and the EPC. Landlords will want them in date before they register.
- Agents can't register for them. The landlord has to make the entries. Agents can only add some details afterwards, so landlords need their own way through it.
- The deadlines are close. The West Midlands opens on 15 December 2026, then one region a month until the South West in August 2027.
What you can share, free
- Deadlines by region, with a page for each region listing its councils
- The checklist of everything the form asks for, and the step-by-step guide to the form itself
- The readiness check, which tells a landlord what to fix, and often that means booking you
- Email reminders timed to the landlord's region, from the home page

A code for your customers
If you'd like to send landlords to our paid Ready to Register check, we can set up a code for your customers to use at checkout. Tell us a little about your business and we'll agree the details with you.
Register Your Rental Property is an independent guide published by Llama Consulting Limited. We're not part of the government, and we never ask landlords for their GOV.UK login.
