1. About us

This website and its services are provided by Consulting Limited, trading as Register Your Rental Property, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 00000000), registered office registered office address. Contact us at [email protected].

2. We are not the government

We are an independent business. We are not part of, or approved by, the UK Government or the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. The official Register your rental property service is on GOV.UK.

The law requires landlords to register themselves. We don't register properties for anyone and we will never ask for your GOV.UK login. The £65 per property registration fee is paid to the government, not to us. You don't need to use our services to register.

3. Free guides and tools

Our guides, deadline finder, checklist and readiness check are general information, not legal advice. We check them regularly, but the government can change dates and requirements. Always confirm on GOV.UK before relying on them.

4. Paid services

Paperwork check. We review the documents you give us, tell you which are missing, expired or due to expire, and give you an answer sheet that matches the official form. We check dates and completeness. We don't inspect your property, and we can't confirm that work recorded on a certificate was done properly.

The paperwork check costs £39 for your first property and £15 for each additional property. It includes three months of the compliance tracker for those properties. When the three months end, the tracker stops unless you choose to subscribe. We will never start charging you without asking.

Compliance tracker. We store your certificates and email you before they expire. Reminders are a help, not a guarantee: keeping your property compliant remains your responsibility.

The compliance tracker costs £3 per property per month, or £30 per property per year.

We deliver a paperwork check within 5 working days of receiving all your documents.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on our website including / excluding VAT. Payments are taken by Stripe. The compliance tracker is billed monthly in advance until you cancel.

6. Cancelling

If you are buying as a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of buying. If you asked us to start the paperwork check within those 14 days, we will refund the price minus a fair amount for work already done. Once we have completed the check, the right to cancel ends.

You can cancel the compliance tracker at any time from your account or by emailing us. It stops at the end of the month you have paid for.

7. Refunds

If we don't deliver your paperwork check on time, or it contains a mistake we can't put right, we will give you a full refund. Refunds go back to the card you paid with within 10 working days.

8. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for:

If you use our services for business purposes, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

9. Using this website

Please don't misuse the site, try to break its security, or copy its content for commercial use without our permission. The content and design belong to Consulting Limited.

10. Complaints

Email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
